This year’s awards will honor individuals and teams who exemplify the mission of itSMF USA: sharing knowledge to advance the IT Service Management profession and best practices.

There are six award categories for submission including:

• itSMF USA Lifetime Achievement
• Industry Knowledge Contribution
• Project of the Year

Pasadena, Calif., (June 24, 2008) – The IT Service Management Forum USA^® (itSMF USA®), the nation’s leading association focused on optimizing IT operations for companies and organizations in all industries, today announced three of its keynote speakers, including goodwill ambassador and National Football League Hall of Famer, Archie Manning, for the itSMF USA^® National Conference, Fusion ’08. Expected to attract more than 2,000 attendees, the eighth annual conference being held Sept. 7-13, 2008 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, is the largest, most comprehensive gathering of IT Service Management (ITSM) professionals. ITSM is a practice which enables any organization to deliver quality IT services that satisfy customer business requirements to achieve performance targets specified within service level agreements.

New for 2008, itSMF USA^® Fusion 08 introduces the program blog. This blog will help you uncover the deeper story behind conference tracks, provide insight into key sessions, and help you make the most of your conference experience. View the program blog or sign-up for RSS subscription.

The Simulation Showcase Event at itSMF USA Fusion 08 will be Sunday, September 7, 2007 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. The event will showcase four interactive simulations by BMC Software, GamingWorks, and G2G3.

• Airport Simulation
• Apollo 13 - An ITSM Case Experience
• Real-life ITIL v3 Application and
• Polestar Project Management - An Experiential Approach to IT Project Management success within ITIL V3

However, instead of simply providing four different simulations, itSMF USA Fusion 08 is hosting a Simulation Showcase Event, an exciting concept that allows attendees to either participate as an “observer” across all four simulations or as a “player” in one of the simulations.

What is a Simulation?
A simulation creates an environment that models a real organization trying to implement ITIL and ITSM processes to achieve business goals.  Players of a simulation are placed in various roles of the organization to work together using people, processes, and technology to achieve these goals.
